The portrait is of Myrtle Adelsperger, for whom the scholarship was established. The recipients are chosen by the scholarship committee of the Lambda Chapter of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Graduating seniors are selected as recipients each year: one from Randolph Eastern and one from Mississinawa Valley High School.
