Born June 25, 1927, in Randolph County, IN, June Potter graced the world with her presence until October 5, 1999. A graduate of Jefferson High School, she dedicated her life to serving her community.
June’s career spanned a distinguished tenure as a legal secretary and impactful roles as Randolph County Auditor and Recorder. She also served as Director of the Randolph County Promotion and Visitors Bureau.
A woman of unwavering spirit, June actively contributed to numerous organizations, including the Literary Coalition, the Art Association of Randolph County, and Randolph County Economic Development and Tourism, which she and her husband Merl volunteered countless hours to in the 1990’s. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her service as choir director at the Deerfield United Methodist Church.
This scholarship is awarded to a WCHS graduate with a 3.0 or higher G.P.A., preference to a Ridgeville or Saratoga address and is a descendent of a Lions Club member.
