Donnabelle Gaylor

Donnabelle Jean Gaylor was born in 1921. She was a wife and mother. She worked for the Second National Bank of Richmond and was a member of the Friends Church of Winchester where she sang in the choir and was active with the Women’s Society of the church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge.

Awarded to a student graduating from Winchester Community High School who meets the following requirements: student shall have applied and been accepted at an accredited institution of higher education; must intend to pursue a Bachelor’s degree and enroll as a full time student; completed their junior and senior years at WCHS; demonstrated good character and citizenship among faculty and student body; ranked academically in top 10% of class; preference given to a student suffering a health problem which would make obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education more difficult or more expensive for the student, in absence of a student with this qualification, the committee may ignore this requirement. Renewable pending student meets G.P.A. requirements.
