Charles F. Passmore

Charles F. Passmore, son of Truman and Pauline Passmore, was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 31, 1961. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed all aspects of nature. On November 23, 1984, a canoeing accident claimed his life. It is in his memory that the Passmore family have dedicated the “Charles F. Passmore Memorial Scholarship” fund.

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating WCHS senior who is in the upper half of their class, demonstrates financial need and is attending an Indiana college or university. Preference given to applicants who want to continue their education in the field of communication.  If none qualify, preference will then be given first to applicants who want to study nursing, second to applicants pursuing a degree in teaching, and third to applicants who want to study business administration.  Recipient must graduate in the upper one-half of their class; recipient must attend a college or university located in the state of Indiana. Renewable pending student meets G.P.A. requirements.
