WINCHESTER, IN – The Women’s Fund, a component fund of the Community Foundation of Randolph County, will celebrate 16 years of supporting women and children across Randolph County during its annual brunch and auction on Saturday, Aug. 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall in Winchester. The event, themed “Sweet Sixteen and All Dolled Up!,” begins at 10 a.m.
“For 16 years, the Women’s Fund has invested in programs and opportunities that strengthen the lives of women and children throughout Randolph County,” said Lisa Jennings, executive director of the Community Foundation of Randolph County. “This event allows us to celebrate that impact while raising funds that will continue supporting our community for years to come.”
Earlier this year, the Women’s Fund hosted a community art contest designed to raise awareness of both the fund’s mission and the talents of local artists. Seven artists submitted original works, and all artworks will be auctioned during the Aug. 15 event. Proceeds from artwork sales will support future Women’s Fund grants benefiting women and children in Randolph County.
The winners of the Women’s Fund local art contest are as follows:
- Grand Prize Award: Tim Passmore’s “Thunderbirds”
- Chérie Isakson Award: JoAnna Price’s “Symphony In Clay”
- Ruth Mills Award: Michael Sherman’s “Apple Crotch”
The seven pieces of art that were submitted will be displayed at the following locations through the end of July:
- Art Association of Randolph County
- Matchett & Ward Insurance
- Old National Bank
- Randolph County YMCA
- Randolph County Recycling District
- Stacy & Taylor’s Sweet Treats
- Stop ‘N Sip
The event will also recognize the Women’s Fund’s 2026 grant recipients, including:
- Art Association of Randolph County
- Lynn Friends Church
- Open Arms House of Worship
- Randolph County Law Enforcement
- Randolph County YMCA
Attendees will also learn more about August 15th’s Speedway fundraising event benefiting the Women’s Fund. Additional details will be announced soon. A $5 donation from each full-price ticket sold for the fundraiser will support the Women’s Fund.
Tickets for the brunch and auction are $30 and may be purchased online or at the Community Foundation of Randolph County office through Friday, July 31. For more information, please contact Ashley Stephen at 765-584-9077 or astephen@randolphcountyfoundation.org.
