Community Foundation Announces the 2021 Lilly Scholarship Recipient

The Foundation is pleased to announce that Ella Baldwin is the 2021 recipient of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.  She is the daughter of Justin and Kari Baldwin.  Ella is planning to study biochemistry although she has not yet chosen a college.  Following her undergraduate degree, Ella plans to further her education to become a dentist.

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship pays for tuition, books, and other fees for four years of undergraduate study at any Indiana public, private or non-profit university.

Applications are scored on academic ability, extracurricular activities, honors, awards, community service, and goals and aspirations.  They are also required to write an essay.  Five finalists are identified and invited to participate in an interview process.  The four finalists not selected to receive the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship will receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,250 each from the Community Foundation of Randolph County.

Lilly Endowment Inc. has provided over $424M in grant support for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program, since its inception in 1998.
