WINCHESTER, IN – The Community Foundation of Randolph County announces that JoAnna Darda has joined the organization as the Indiana Arts Commission’s Region 5 Arts Partner. In her role, she will serve artists, arts organizations, and communities throughout Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, Randolph, Rush, Union, and Wayne counties.
“We’re grateful to welcome JoAnna to this role,” said Lisa Jennings, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Randolph County. “Her experience in the arts and nonprofit sectors, combined with her passion for supporting artists and communities, will help strengthen arts opportunities and connections throughout East-Central Indiana.”
The Regional Arts Partners are a network of 11 organizations around the state who work alongside the Indiana Arts Commission to promote and expand participation in the arts in Indiana. As the Indiana Arts Commission’s Region 5 Arts Partner, the Community Foundation of Randolph County provides resources, information, and support for the arts throughout the 11-county region.
JoAnna was born and raised in rural Pulaski County, Indiana. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Herron School of Art & Design at Indiana University Indianapolis, with minors in art history and sociology. She brings more than 13 years of experience working within the arts and nonprofit communities in Muncie and East-Central Indiana, including experience in grant administration, the nonprofit sector, and as a practicing artist. Her curiosity and creativity have drawn her to visual arts and culture as a way to learn more about the world, other people, and herself.
“I believe art and creativity have the power to foster connection and help create a more beautiful, equitable future,” said Darda. “I look forward to supporting and celebrating the arts and culture of East-Central Indiana while connecting artists and organizations to opportunities, resources, and one another.”
Darda succeeds Braydee Euliss, whose work helped strengthen connections among artists, arts organizations, and communities throughout East-Central Indiana.
“JoAnna brings an ideal combination of professional, technical, and arts-aligned experiences to the Regional Arts Partner work in our corner of the state, “ said Euliss. “These past several weeks, we’ve worked closely together, with the IAC team, and with other regional partners, ensuring seamless service continuity for our past, present, and hopeful grantees. She is a committed and thoughtful advocate for the arts and community and will be an enthusiastic representative of the IAC.”
